    This is an original antique large oil painting on canvas featuring a head study of an Irish Setter, in very good original condition, not framed, dated 1897, and fully signed to the rear "Irish Setter Mitchell Maryport 1897" this painting is of very good quality, there is wear as can be seen to a small area of the dogs head, it is in completely original condition, uncleaned, overall size of canvas approx. 12" x 10" Mitchell is a well know specialist dog artist who signed most of his paintings and often also signed the town that he lived in which was Maryport in the English Lake district.
