What these control arms
DO
:
When lifting your truck or SUV the ball joint angle is changed causing binding and/or loss of full articulation. These arms have an altered ball joint angle for 2-4” lifts so that full motion is achieved again therefore increasing the lifespan of the ball joint.
They only fit on 1500 series ½ ton trucks and SUVs
They only fit on models with cast steel control arms, see vehicle chart below
What these control arms
DON’T
do:
They do not adjust camber or caster
They do not increase or decrease the length of the arm, they are the same length as the factory arms
They do not prevent the arm from hitting the coil springs. If your existing arms hit the coils, so will these.
They do not work with spindle lifts
They do not work on HD model trucks
They do not change/alter the droop stop (bump stop) clearance
They do not work on models with stamped steel or forged aluminum control arms
They do not improve ride quality, it will maintain existing ride quality
These control arms replace the factory upper front control arms on the Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Sierra, Escalade, and Yukon 1/2-ton trucks and SUVs that have a 2-4" lift. When lifting your truck the factory control arm ball joints may bind, causing premature wear. These control arms have an altered ball joint angle so that the ball joint can move around freely again. TUFF UP USA crafted these using heavy duty SAE-AISI 1020 steel CDS tubing (1.3" actual diameter) with head duty replaceable ball joints. All the joining parts are welded by hand by our talented welders to offer strong, reliable and consistent welds. The bushings are hard rubber to offer an OEM ride feel. A semi gloss powder coat is applied to protect the metal from the elements. Control arms have welded studs to mount the brake line. This kit comes in 2 pcs to accommodate both upper front arms on the left and right sides of the vehicle. Professional installation highly recommended.
Lifetime warranty on the metal structural components of the arms and 1 year warranty on the bushings and ball joint.
