Madrid Recollections, by Indiana GlassPedestal Cake Plate - clear
Pedestal Candy Dish with Cover - clear
Up for bid are two Madrid Recollections glass tableware pieces made by Indiana Glass.
These pieces are in very nice condition with no chips or cracks, or areas of notable wear.
These pieces replicate the Madrid pattern Depression glass – but the pattern was reproduced with the design and most colors very similar to the original Madrid pattern.
It was used for a number of years in the 1980s-1990s by Indiana Glass.
While a number of the pieces made by Indiana Glass nearly match the original Madrid pieces, the ones in this lot (the pedestaled cake plate and pedestaled candy dish) are designs not made by Madrid.
The pieces in this lot are:
·
Pedestal Cake Plate
(also called a Cake Stand), made of clear glass.
It is generally square with decorative ‘corners’ (see photos).
It measures about 10⅜ inches side-to-side and 2¾ inches high.
The pedestal base is stepped and decorated (see photos).
The central round cake area is recessed a bit, and its base is 8 inches in diameter.
·
Pedestal Candy Dish with Cover
, made of clear glass.
The base is 6⅞ inches from side-to-side and stands 3¼ inches high.
Its rim has a similar design as the cake plate, but is smaller.
The round central part of the base is recessed about an inch, to keep the candy from falling out.
The round cover fits into a bit recessed resting area on the base; it is 5¼ inches in diameter and 3 inches tall to the top of the ball knob.
The entire candy dish and cover are about 6⅜ inches tall.
Buyer pays the selected postage.
These pieces will be shipped promptly with payment.
